Center For Group LearningThe Center for Group Learning, a group that has met for 10 years in the SanFranciscoBayArea (mostly Oakland and SF) and researched and together put on workshops and other collective learning experiences for each other and outside people. It developed in part from a group of students at the CaliforniaInstituteOfIntegralStudies? and a small group of friends that overlapped with that group. Long-time and early members include EileenPalmer?, TomAtlee, KimWelty?, JeffAitken?, Madalyn Knittle, JohnAbbe, KatheKokolias?, KenoliOleari? (there are so many people, and no list is available at the moment -- please add your name here if you want, and consider yourself "part" of CGL :-).
The website's main attraction, since 1996, is a page with links and some summaries about opportunities to learn about and put into practice various group skills and theories. http://cgl.org/OtherGrpResources.html
A now-defunct MailingList? never became very commonly used.
Maintained this for a long time, but haven't done much on it recent years. I learned to consider groups as entities in their own right, and to consider much more fully relationships of self and group, one and many, as "holons", but with even more complexity. Also sampled many ProcessArts. --JohnAbbe
